Here's what you have to do:
1) We have installed IC 5.0 on Saturn and Jupiter as remote login machines and all of the sun machines in lab 1331 for local use.
2) All the sun machines in 1331 lab have been updated to IC 5.0.
3) Edit your .software file by using your favorite text editor and change to the following IC, LDV, ASSUSRA, SE as we installed IC 5.0, LDV 4.1, ASSURA 3.03, DSMSE 5.4 ( these are the latest updates as of Jul 2003)
4) Logout and log back in and you are all set.
5) If you would like to know about all the executables available in cadence software Click Here
If you are in a Research group or using some model technology files that are only compatible with IC 4.46, you can still use IC 4.46 by editing your .software file and replacing IC with IC446
1) We have installed IC 5.0 on linux machines in 1331 lab, we do not have any remote login machines setup on linux yet.
2) No changes need to be made to your .software file, ie, it should contain IC, ASSURA, LDV as we have install IC 5.0, ASSURA 3.03 and LDV 4.1.
3) Waveforms can be plotted using Hspice in Linux as of Dec 2003, we are still waiting for silicon ensemble to be exported to Linux.
